The journey of a lifetime always starts the same way, with a single step.

I have always been in awe of those who write (especially those who write well) and the first step that every one of them has taken was to write. Over the past three years as a high school teacher, my work had taken me on numerous adventures, and I've finally decided to get around to writing about these, whether they take place around the world, in my own backyard, or in the classroom. The posts found here will likely span my interests in travel, reading, and teaching, but will also delve into whatever takes my fancy at the time of writing.

Going into the new year, I face a new adventure coming over the horizon, that of finding a new job for the 2017-2018 school year. Many places have caught my eye, and like always it seems that my eye is set to the horizon and finding ways to turn my teaching career into a way to travel.
